      1. बिल्व वृक्ष के आसपास कभी सर्प नहीं आते हैं।

        4. चार पांच छः या सात पत्तो वाले बिल्व पत्रों को पाने वाला परम सौभाग्यशाली और शिव को अर्पण करने से अनंत गुना फल मिलता है।


         5. बेल वृक्ष को काटने से वंश का नाश होता है।और बेल वृक्ष लगाने से वंश की वृद्धि होती है।

       किसी भी देवी-देवता का पूजन करते वक़्त उनको अनेक चीज़ें
चढाई जाती है। प्रायः भगवन को चढाई जाने वाली हर चीज़ का फल अलग होता है। शिव पुराण में इस बात का वर्णन मिलता है कि भगवन शिव को अर्पित करने वाली अलग-अलग चीज़ों का क्या फल होता है।

       शिवपुराण के अनुसार जानिए कौन सा अनाज भगवान शिव को
चढ़ाने से क्या फल मिलता है:

1. भगवान शिव को चावल चढ़ाने से धन की प्राप्ति होती है।

2. तिल चढ़ाने से पापों का नाश हो जाता है।

3. जौ अर्पित करने से सुख में वृद्धि होती है।

4. गेहूं चढ़ाने से संतान वृद्धि होती है।यह सभी अन्न भगवान को अर्पण करने के बाद गरीबों में वितरीत कर देना चाहिए।

(द्रव्य) चढ़ाने से उसका क्या फल मिलता है

       1. ज्वर (बुखार) होने पर भगवान शिव को जलधारा चढ़ाने से शीघ्र लाभ मिलता है। सुख व संतान की वृद्धि के लिए भी जलधारा द्वारा शिव की पूजा उत्तम बताई गई है।

     2. नपुंसक व्यक्ति अगर शुद्ध घी से भगवान शिव का अभिषेक करे, ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराए तथा सोमवार का व्रत करे तो उसकी समस्या का निदान संभव है।

      3. तेज दिमाग के लिए शक्कर मिश्रित दूध भगवान शिव को चढ़ाएं।

       4. सुगंधित तेल से भगवान शिव का अभिषेक करने पर समृद्धि में वृद्धि होती है।

       5. शिवलिंग पर ईख (गन्ना) का रस चढ़ाया जाए तो सभी आनंदों की प्राप्ति होती है।

       6. शिव को गंगाजल चढ़ाने से भोग व मोक्ष दोनों की प्राप्ति होती है।

       7. मधु (शहद) से भगवान शिव का अभिषेक करने से क्षय

      9. धतूरे के फूल से पूजन करने पर भगवान शंकर सुयोग्य पुत्र प्रदान करते हैं, जो कुल का नाम रोशन करता है।

      10. लाल डंठलवाला धतूरा पूजन में शुभ माना गया है।

       11. दूर्वा से पूजन करने पर आयु बढ़ती है
