प्रिय स्नेही मित्रों जय श्रीकृष्णा, राधे - राधे
   
तुलसीदास जी महाराज कहते हैं –

एक घड़ी आधी घड़ी आधी में पुनि आध।
तुलसी संगति साधु की हरे कोटि अपराध।।

सत्संग से एक सामान्य कीड़ा महान् मैत्रेय ऋषि बन गया !

यह कथा एक दिन श्रीमद्भागवत महापुराण में पढ़ी थी।

        एक बार शुकदेव जी के पिता भगवान वेदव्यासजी महाराज कहीं जा रहे थे। रास्ते में उन्होंने देखा कि एक कीड़ा बड़ी तेजी से सड़क पार कर रहा था।

          वेदव्यासजी ने अपनी योगशक्ति देते हुए उससे पूछा तू इतनी जल्दी सड़क क्यों पार कर रहा है? क्या तुझे किसी काम से जाना है? तू तो नाली का कीड़ा है। इस नाली को छोड़कर दूसरी नाली में ही तो जाना है, फिर इतनी तेजी से क्यों भाग रहा है...?


         कीड़ा बोला! बाबा जी बैलगाड़ी आ रही है। बैलों के गले में बँधे घुँघरु तथा बैलगाड़ी के पहियों की आवाज मैं सुन रहा हूँ। यदि मैं धीरे-धीर सड़क पार करूँगा तो वह बैलगाड़ी आकर मुझे कुचल डालेगी।“

         वेदव्यासजीः “कुचलने दे। कीड़े की योनि में जीकर भी क्या करना?”

         कीड़ाः “महर्षि! प्राणी जिस शरीर में होता है उसको उसमें ही ममता होती है। अनेक प्राणी नाना प्रकार के कष्टों को सहते हुए भी मरना नहीं चाहते।

         वेदव्यास जीः “बैलगाड़ी आ जाये और तू मर जाये तो घबराना मत। मैं तुझे योगशक्ति से महान बनाऊँगा। जब तक ब्राह्मण शरीर में न पहुँचा दूँ, अन्य सभी योनियों से शीघ्र छुटकारा दिलाता रहूँगा।

           उस कीड़े ने बात मान ली और बीच रास्ते पर रुक गया और मर गया। फिर वेदव्यासजी की कृपा से वह क्रमशः कौआ, सियार आदि योनियों में जब-जब भी उत्पन्न हुआ, व्यासजी ने जाकर उसे पूर्वजन्म का स्मरण दिला दिया। इस तरह वह क्रमशः मृग, पक्षी, शूद्र, वैश्य जातियों में जन्म लेता हुआ क्षत्रिय जाति में उत्पन्न हुआ। उसे वहाँ भी वेदव्यासजी दर्शन दिये। थोड़े दिनों में रणभूमि में शरीर त्यागकर उसने ब्राह्मण के घर जन्म लिया।

         भगवान वेदव्यास जी ने उसे पाँच वर्ष की उम्र में सारस्वत्य मंत्र दे दिया जिसका जप करते-करते वह ध्यान करने लगा। उसकी बुद्धि बड़ी विलक्षण होने पर वेद, शास्त्र, धर्म का रहस्य समझ में आ गया।
सात वर्ष की आयु में वेदव्यास जी ने उसे कहाः

         “कार्त्तिक क्षेत्र में कई वर्षों से एक ब्राह्मण नन्दभद्र तपस्या कर रहा है। तुम जाकर उसकी शंका का समाधान करो।

           मात्र सात वर्ष का ब्राह्मण कुमार कार्त्तिक क्षेत्र में तप कर रहे उस ब्राह्मण के पास पहुँच कर बोलाः-   “हे ब्राह्मणदेव! आप तप क्यों कर रहे हैं?”

           ब्राह्मणः “हे ऋषिकुमार! मैं यह जानने के लिए तप कर रहा हूँ कि जो अच्छे लोग है, सज्जन लोग है, वे सहन करते हैं, दुःखी रहते हैं और पापी आदमी सुखी रहते हैं। ऐसा क्यों है?”

            बालकः “पापी आदमी यदि सुखी है, तो पाप के कारण नहीं, वरन् पिछले जन्म का कोई पुण्य है, उसके कारण सुखी है। वह अपने पुण्य खत्म कर रहा है। पापी मनुष्य भीतर से तो दुःखी ही होता है, भले ही बाहर से सुखी दिखाई दे।

             धार्मिक आदमी को ठीक समझ नहीं होती, उचित दिशा व मंत्र नहीं मिलता इसलिए वह दुःखी होता है। वह धर्म के कारण दुःखी नहीं होता, अपितु समझ की कमी के कारण दुःखी होता है। समझदार को यदि कोई गुरु मिल जायें तो वह नर में से नारायण बन जाये, इसमें क्या आश्चर्य है...?

            ब्राह्मणः “मैं इतना बूढ़ा हो गया, इतने वर्षों से कार्त्तिक क्षेत्र में तप कर रहा हूँ। मेरे तप का फल यही है कि तुम्हारे जैसे सात वर्ष के योगी के मुझे दर्शन हो रहे हैं। मैं तुम्हें प्रणाम करता हूँ।“

             बालकः “नहीं… नहीं, महाराज! आप तो भूदेव हैं। मैं तो बालक हूँ। मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूँ।“

              उसकी नम्रता देखकर ब्राह्मण और खुश हुआ। तप छोड़कर वह परमात्मचिन्तन में लग गया। अब उसे कुछ जानने की इच्छा नहीं रही। जिससे सब कुछ जाना जाता है उसी परमात्मा में विश्रांति पाने लग गया।


              इस प्रकार नन्दभद्र ब्राह्मण को उत्तर दे, निःशंक कर सात दिनों तक निराहार रहकर वह बालक सूर्यमन्त्र का जप करता रहा और वहीं बहूदक तीर्थ में उसने शरीर त्याग दिया। वही बालक दूसरे जन्म में कुषारु पिता एवं मित्रा माता के यहाँ प्रगट हुआ। उसका नाम मैत्रेय पड़ा। इन्होंने व्यासजी के पिता पराशरजी से ‘विष्णु-पुराण‘ तथा ‘बृहत् पाराशर होरा शास्त्र‘ का अध्ययन किया था। ‘पक्षपात रहित अनुभवप्रकाश‘ नामक ग्रन्थ में मैत्रेय तथा पराशर ऋषि का संवाद आता है।

          कहाँ तो सड़क से गुजरकर नाली में गिरने जा रहा कीड़ा और कहाँ संत के सान्निध्य से वह मैत्रेय ऋषि बन गया। सत्संग की बलिहारी है! इसीलिए तुलसीदास जी कहते हैं –

तात स्वर्ग अपवर्ग सुख धरिअ तुला एक अंग।
तूल न ताहि सकल मिली जो सुख लव सतसंग।।

          यहाँ एक शंका हो सकती है कि वह कीड़ा सीधे ही मैत्रेय ऋषि क्यों नहीं बन गया?

          अरे भाई! यदि आप पहली कक्षा के विद्यार्थी हो और आपको एम. ए. में बिठाया जाये तो क्या आप पास हो सकते हो….? नहीं…। दूसरी, तीसरी, चौथी… दसवीं… बारहवीं… बी.ए. आदि पास करके ही आप एम.ए. में प्रवेश कर सकते हो।

             किसी चौकीदार पर कोई प्रधानमन्त्री अत्यधिक प्रसन्न हो जाए तब भी वह उसे सीधा कलेक्टर (जिलाधीश) नहीं बना सकता, ऐसे ही नाली में रहने वाला कीड़ा सीधा मनुष्य तो नहीं हो सकता बल्कि विभिन्न योनियों को पार करके ही मनुष्य बन सकता है। हाँ इतना अवश्य है कि संतकृपा से उसका मार्ग छोटा हो जाता है।

             संतसमागम की,साधु पुरुषों से संग की महिमा का कहाँ तक वर्णन करें,कैसे बयान करें? एक सामान्य कीड़ा उनके सत्संग को पाकर महान् ऋषि बन सकता है तो फिर यदि मानव को किसी सदगुरु का सान्निध्य मिल जाये…. उनके वचनानुसार चल पड़े तो मुक्ति का अनुभव करके जीवन्मुक्त भी बन सकता है।

 Tulsidas Ji Maharaj says -



 Half an hour half an hour in half.

 Tulsi Sangti Sadhu's green coat crime.



 From satsang a common worm became the great Maitreya Rishi!



 This story was read in the Shrimad Bhagwat Maha Purana one day.



         Once Shukdev Ji's father Lord Ved Vyasji Maharaj was going somewhere.  On the way he noticed that a worm was crossing the road very fast.



           Ved Vyas ji, giving his yoga power, asked him why are you crossing the road so soon?  Do you have any work to do?  You are a worm of a drain.  Leaving this drain has to go to the other drain itself, then why is it running so fast ...?





          The worm said!  Baba ji bullock cart is coming.  I am listening to the sound of the knuckles tied around the bulls and the wheels of the bullock cart.  If I cross the road slowly, the bullock cart will come and crush me. "



          Ved Vyas ji: "Let it crush.  What to do if you live in the vagina of a worm? "



          Worm: "Maharishi!  The body in which the creature is, it has love for it.  Many beings do not want to die even after suffering many kinds of miseries.

          Ved Vyas ji: “If the bullock cart comes and you die, do not panic.  I will make you great with yoga power.  Till I reach the Brahmin's body, I will get rid of all other vagaries soon.



            The worm agreed and stopped on the road and died.  Then by the grace of Ved Vyasji, whenever he was born in crow, jackal, etc., respectively, Vyasji went and reminded him of his past life.  In this way, he was born into the Kshatriya caste, taking birth in the deer, bird, shudra and Vaishya castes respectively.  He also saw Ved Vyas ji there.  In a few days, after leaving his body in the battlefield, he was born in a Brahmin's house.



 Glory of satsang


          Lord Ved Vyas gave him the Sarasvatya Mantra at the age of five, which he started meditating while chanting.  The secret of Vedas, scriptures, religion was understood when his intellect was very eccentric.

 At the age of seven, Ved Vyas ji told him:



          “A Brahmin Nandabhadra has been doing penance for many years in the Kartik region.  Go and solve his doubts.



            Only seven years old Brahmin Kumar reached the Brahmin who was doing penance in Kartik region and said: "O Brahman Dev!  Why are you doing penance? "



            Brahmin: “O Hrishikumar!  I am meditating to know that good people, gentle people, they tolerate, grieve and sinful men are happy.  Why is this?"



             Child: "If a sinful man is happy, it is not because of sin, but there is a virtue of a past life, because of that he is happy.  He is ending his virtue.  A sinful man is grieving from the inside, even if he appears happy from outside.



              Religious man does not understand well, does not get proper direction and mantra, so he is sad.  He is not grieved because of religion, but because of lack of understanding.  If a wise man finds a guru, then he should become Narayan from a male, what is the surprise…?

             Brahmin: “I have become so old, have been doing penance in the field of medicine for so many years.  The result of my tenacity is that I am seeing a seven-year-old yogi like you.  I salute you. "



              Child: "No… No, Maharaj!  You are a Bhudev.  I am a child  I salute you. "



               The Brahmin became more happy seeing his humility.  Leaving penance, he began to become divine.  He no longer wanted to know anything.  With which everything is known, he began to relax in the same God.





               In this way, Nandabhadra should answer the Brahmin, without ceasing for seven days, the child kept chanting Suryamantra and there he left his body in the Bahudak Tirtha.  The same child appeared in his second birth with Kusharu's father and Mitra's mother.  His name was Maitreya.  He studied 'Vishnu-Purana' and 'Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra' from Vyasji's father Parasharji.  In the book entitled 'Non-Partisan Experience', there is a dialogue between Maitreya and Parashar Rishi.



           Where is the worm going to fall into the drain after going through the road and where he became Maitreya Rishi by the association of the saint.  It is a sacrifice of satsang!  That is why Tulsidas ji says -


 Taat heaven heaven class happiness

 Tool na tahi sakal mete which pleasures love satsang.

           There can be a doubt here as to why that worm did not directly become a Maitreya sage?



           Dear brother!  If you are a student of first grade and you have M.A.  Can you pass if I sit in it…?  No….  Second, third, fourth… tenth… twelfth… b.a.  You pass MA  You can enter



              Even if a Prime Minister is very happy on a watchman, he cannot make him a direct collector (District Collector), a worm living in such a drain can not be a direct human being, but can become a human being only by crossing different zones.  Yes, it is sure that his path to Santkrupa gets shortened.



              How far should I describe the glory of the saints, with the saints, how to tell?  A common worm can become a great sage by attaining his satsang, then if a human gets the connection of a master.  If you follow his word, then you can also become liberated by experiencing liberation.
